Recap: IM Norm Results & Bett 2022!

Hey ChessKids! We had such an amazing time these last few weeks, catching up with our young chess prodigies playing on-the-board at an IM norm tournament and meeting some of you guys in England for #BETT2022! 

GM/IM Norm Spring Invitational Results 

Last week, four of our ChessKid stars played in an IM norm tournament hosted by the Charlotte Chess Center. WIM Alice Lee and FM Ryo Chen had both scored their first IM norm in previous tournaments earlier this year, playing to win two more IM norms to earn the title of Grandmaster. FM Tani Adewumi and CM Brewington Hardaway also joined them in this tournament to try and score their first IM norms.

The young chess prodigies weren't the only ones competing to win IM norms-- FM James Canty followed along to try his luck for his first norm too!

Although the bunch didn't secure IM norms, they all played and won some pretty amazing games. Check out the complete scoreboard.
