"The Knight's Fork Weekly" to DEBUT NEXT WEEK!
During the very beginning part of last year, I came up with this blog subject of going into LIVE Chess and following the Top Games, or other high profile games that are playing and posting some of the ones I thought were pretty good in a blog post, almost like a newspaper chess column, like we used to have here in the New York Times or in The Washington Post that covers D.C.
I thought something like this would be unique to Chess.com and it's something I've been wanting to do for over a year. I even formed my own private group for it where I can throw ideas at the walls and see if they stick. With LIVE Chess being so active and the emergence of some top Super GMs showing up like GM Hikaru Nakamura (which we at Chess.com/TV did a great interview/Q&A with) I'm sure I can get a lot of great content. Even if they're not GM, or IM, even if they're not TITLED players, I'm sure I can showcase a few games I like and let you, constant reader, analyze them and pick them apart in the comments with a little urging on from me. Perhaps I could be able to get a few words from the players afterwards. I'll see how things play out.
The avatar that is used for this post will be used for all KFW's posts. I'll still be doing Chess.com/TV related blogs, as well as my own personal "trying-to-tread-water" struggles against this sometimes unforgiving game. So look for the 1st issue of Volume 1 at some point next week. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. If you are, well, then I attribute that to taking baby steps, so don't that against me.
Have a good weekend. Be safe. It is Memorial Day Weekend in the states here, so enjoy your BBQ's and your frisbee chasing dogs on the beach.
Thanks for reading everyone! I hope you're looking forward to this as much as I am. If not, I guess it'll just be a party of one.
