Blitz Chess #366: QGD: Semi-Slav, Meran variation
This is a blitz chess game I played as black with time control 5|0. The opening played was the Queen's Gambit Declined: Semi-Slav, Meran variation. Typically play turns quite sharp in the Meran variation, however the first player does not strike with a critical line which would make the presence of white's central majority felt. Instead white attempts some minor piece play, thus allowing black to not only equalize but also press a slight advantage. What would come about in this game where one side has a positional superiority, and some play against an isolated queen pawn?
