What are chess.com Puzzles?
What are chess.com puzzles? That's right. You may be asking yourself this, and that's why you're here. Well, today's your lucky day because I will tell you what these are and how you can get started!
So there are 5 different puzzle sections in chess.com, normal puzzles, puzzle rush, puzzle battle, the daily puzzle, and custom puzzles. I recommend doing your daily limit to your puzzle section (if you're a member you have no limit) If you're getting good at that, then try puzzle rush! You have 3 different types of modes, 3 min, 5 min, and survival. Doing timed puzzles will test you on how fast you can recognize patterns in certain positions. Puzzle battle is just battling against another puzzle solver. You have three strikes, and the last one wins! The daily puzzle is exactly what you think it is: It's a daily puzzle! The puzzles gradually get harder as the week continues. (Monday being the easiest and Sunday being the hardest)
Chess.com puzzles are great for pattern recognition in your games. Practice this everyday and you will start to memorize positions in your games. Try this puzzle! You may know the pattern already and if you do, then the puzzles prove that they work!
Pattern recognition is great for your games if you saw a forced checkmate like that. Solving puzzles on chess.com is also great because they gradually get harder as you continue. My puzzle rating is 2200 and i've gotten much better at solving puzzles. Try solving puzzles if you haven't and tell me if you have improved in the comments below! Try solving these puzzles before you go!
Those are some great puzzles to get you started on your puzzle journey! Thanks for reading this post, and I will see you in the next one!
