So I decided to enter the chesslance tournament that many of you have read about because why not? I had nothing to lose... (besides rating points lol)

There were 7 rounds and I entered as the 3rd lowest rated player out of 35 people. Not too good. There was also an IM in the tournament. And a 2500.

round 1

this game I was playing a 1700 named @nimzo-indianajones. I lost. Here is the game if you want to see.

So ya. I fell into a back rank mate for taking the knight. Starting 0/1. Not too good but not too bad either.
Round 2
so here I was playing a 1500. Not good. My first thought was "I'm gonna lose." And I did
So ya. Again I lost because of one blunder. Now I was 0/2. Still, not good. Next round!
round 3
So here I was playing a 1400 and lost again.
Ya. Lost to a lousy pawn checkmate. Now I was 0/3 and tied for dead last.
round 4
here I played a 1200. You can probobly guess what happened
GUESS AGAIN!!! my first win in the tournament! Now I was 1/4 and not last anymore 🤣
round 5
I was now playing a 290 (around there) and won.
2 wins in a row!!!!! I was not on a streak and 2/5. So I was doing OK, but not the best. There were 2 undefeated players soo. Ya next round.
round 6
so on a streak, I was pretty confident. I was playing a 1500 aaaaaand I

lost. To a delayed scholars mate 😔 2/6 unfortunately.

final round

so now without a streak, I really didn't care if I won or lost. So guess what happened.

I Got lucky and won on time!!! I finished 3/7 and 19th. Not too shabby if you ask me as I started 3rd to last.
