Guess The Opening!
If you like chess, I am sure you have watched some "Guess The Elo" content. For those who haven't, chess streamers watch their subs' games and their goal is to guess the Elo (duh) of the players.
Today, YOU will see 5 chess positions and you will have to guess the opening (if you are an upper-intermediate, you might even guess the order of moves). When you have the solution, scroll through the numbers to reveal the answer.
Without further ado, let's start.
This is your first position. Can you make a guess?

It was the Caro-Kann Defense: Tartakower Variation. The moves I showed you are well-known theory moves and h5 has become a popular idea over the past few years. Are you ready for the second one?
This one may not be that easy for beginners because it is a very sharp opening with very theoretical lines. It is one of Nepo's favorite weapons.

And it was... the Grünfeld Defense: Exchange, Classical variation. To be fair, I chose the main line. Although it is a very complicated opening to learn, it is easily recognizable for the big center that white has and the black bishop on g7. Let's go to the third one!
This should be easy, right? A standard position easy to play. As a clue, I did not use the main line of this opening because the pawn structure is VERY well-known. And the answer is...

Yep, this is the French Defense: Exchange variation. Let's go with the fourth one! :')
Got it? If you need help, you should know that this variation of the opening is named after a famous chess player.

I am sure you knew this one, didn't you? It is the Sicilian Defense: Open, Najdorf, Traditional Line. Last but not least, your fifth position.
This was one of my favorite variations when I was younger to play with white. Do you think you have it?
