Hello readers, finally your wait is over! Here I come with our 1st episode of our blog series, 'Real Talk: Interviews with Chess Enthusiasts.' I hope you all will like it thumbup

Matias Ezequiel Petasny (aka @PetasnyM)

*When did you started playing chess?

When I was around 4 to 6 years old.

*What motivated you to play chess?

Since I was a kid I was good on it, so I continue playing. Now is a job so I continue playing. Also is nice for time killing.

*How did you learn to play chess?

My dad, my grandfather (mother side) and my uncle (mother side) taught me. Then I went to a chess club.

*What are your goals in chess?

Get Arbiter norms, continue teaching and improving.

*Have you participated in any over-the-board (OTB) or online chess tournaments?

I participated in hundred of OTB tournaments in Argentina, got different prices, more than four hundred trophies as a kid. In one of the tournament I got the last place. Other tournament a kid throw me a piece, other two tournaments I got second place after the same host in an interzone tournament. I played lot of online chess tournaments being top 3 in some of the chess4solidarity tournament.

*What advice do you have for other chess players looking to improve their skills?

Write their games, analyze them and play a lot of games.

*Is there anything else you would like to share about your chess journey or experiences?

I wrote a chess book, I write chess blogs, I'm a chesskid ambassador, I'm a chess teacher.
