Happy Pawniversary to me! That’s right—this week, my Chess.com account turned three years old, and I’m celebrating! 🥳 When that cheerful pop-up appeared with my special “3-Year” flair and a shower of diamonds and coins, I couldn’t stop smiling. It feels like just yesterday I was a wide-eyed newbie, nervously moving my pawn to e4 for the very first time.

What a delightful ride it’s been! Here’s a look back at my three sunny years in the world of chess.

Year 1: The Joyful Discovery 🌟
Oh, the early days! Everything was new and exciting. I’d play a game and immediately want to play three more. Each match was a little adventure.

I learned that forks weren’t just for eating—they were sneaky knight moves that could win me a rook!
I discovered the pure joy of a successful "Scholar’s Mate" (sorry, not sorry to my first few opponents!).
I fell in love with the click-clack sound of making moves and the satisfying "thump" of capturing a piece.
Chess was a bright, new playground, and I was having a blast exploring every corner.

Year 2: The Confident Climber 🧗‍♀️✨
Year two was when things started to click. I wasn't just playing randomly anymore; I was building a real friendship with the game.

I proudly learned the names of my first real openings. (The Italian Game, you will always be famous in my heart!).
I started doing daily puzzles with my morning coffee, and it felt like a fun brain warm-up for the day.
That moment when I first checkmated someone with a bishop and knight? Pure magic! I literally did a happy dance in my chair.
My rating began to slowly but surely climb, and every small milestone felt like winning a mini-trophy.

Year 3: The Happy Member of the Club 🤝❤️
Now, in year three, I feel like I’ve found my tribe. Chess isn’t just a game I play; it’s a little happy place I visit every day.

I’ve made awesome friends through clubs and fun tournaments. Sending a "Good luck, have fun!" at the start of a match feels like a warm handshake.
I love customizing my profile with all the goodies I’ve earned, especially my Pawniversary flair. It’s like wearing a badge of happy memories!
I even finally understand why moving a pawn can sometimes be a super powerful, brilliant move. Who knew?!
The best part? The learning never stops, and every game is a chance for a new happy moment—a clever tactic, a well-fought draw, or a checkmate that makes me say, "Wow, I did that!"

Here’s to More Years of Fun! 🥂
To anyone just starting out: your journey is going to be so much fun! Embrace every silly blunder and celebrate every small win. The chess community is here, full of friendly people ready to play and learn together.

As for me, I’m lacing up my metaphorical playing gloves for Year Four! More games, more puzzles, more fun. The board is set, and I’m ready to play.

Here's to checkmates, camaraderie, and cake! (Well, at least the virtual kind!) =Đ
