my first book goes to #1 on Amazon Kindle in free chess ebooks!
The eccentric visionary
Henry Bird was a noted chess author from England. Although he was an accountant by profession, he played chess at a high level for about 50 years. Bird was rated by Chessmetrics as reaching as high as number two in the world in 1876. He is said to have "lived for chess, and would play anybody anywhere, anytime, under any conditions."

Here are videos which I made of all of my favorite Henry Bird games. I made the music, too, on the now apparently defunct JamStudio. I provide analysis, annotations, and commentary on each of these games in my book.
