Chess Variants - Why?
Chess variants. There are a lot.
4 Player Chess, Spell Chess, Fog of War, Atomic, Chaturaji, Giveaway, Crazyhouse, Duck Chess, and soooooooooo more.
4 Player Chess is... 4 player chess. Red, blue, yellow, green are the colors. Other than that, the rules are basically the same.
Spell Chess is magic with chess. You have two spells; freeze spells and jump spells.
Fog of War is chess but slightly hidden. You can only see the squares that you can move to.
Atomic chess is nuclear. When you take a piece, every piece within one square straight or diagonally, gets captured expect pawns that are not in the center.
Chaturaji is 4 player chess but on, well, mini-steroids. Four people play on one 8x8 chess board. Boat piece is rook piece.
Giveaway chess is when you try to lose all your pieces as fast as possible, before your opponent.
Crazyhouse is when you take a piece, you can put it back as your own on any open square.
Duck Chess is where there is a duck, that blocks pieces from going to that square and cannot be captured, when it is your move, you move a piece, and then the duck.
There are more.
Lots more.
This is a bad post, I know, but it is number 9. Tomorrow, I will get the 10 post blogger achievement.
