Fischer-Petrosian Candidates game 1 1971

I always found game one of the Fischer/Petrosian match in Argentina to be curious as why white would willingly play in such a manner.  Only later did I learn that Petrosian was given a letter of secret analysis from supposedly Chebanenko (although there is some discrepancy here "At the end of the semi-final match, I found a letter waiting for me in the Central chess club, addressed to The Winner of the Petrosian-Korchnoi match.  The writer of the letter, a candidate master from Kishinev" had found a hole in of Fischer's main openings) with the 11...d5 novelty and sprang it upon Fischer after seeing his game with Taimanov.  Fischer was on such a powerful streak after winning matches against Larsen and Taimanov and his games in Palma de Mallorca that he couldn't be stopped (this win marked his 20th consecutive win) even though he was outplayed in the first half of the match.  Petrosian claimed the weather got the best of him and after game six was a different player and seemed to have begrudged playing at the location to begin with along with the peculiar lighting and gas situation.  To be fair he was aging and his peak performance was ten years earlier, combined with the pressure from the Armenian community it just wasn't meant to be.  Fischer's overall record vs Petrosian was +8-4=15.

Found this very interesting short video clip of the match
