This unique tournament isn't just about the initial prize pool. It's designed to grow in prize money and number of prizes with each event. Numerous elite players are already on board, and we're just getting started. Initially hosted monthly, we plan to hold more frequent tournaments and introduce new prize-funded formats as word spreads in the chess community.
Tournament Format and Prizes: Chess Like Never Before
All players will join the same tournament and be divided into four rating segments: 0-1399, 1400-1699, 1700-1999, and an open section, competing in a thrilling 3+0 blitz format. We recognize FIDE, Chess Scotland, and English Chess Federation grades for rating prizes. Remember every additional player increases the prize funds and number of prizes for future events. Rally your chess comrades!
Our Stance on Cheating: Integrity Above All
Preventing cheating is our top priority. We've enlisted top FIDE International Arbiter Andy Howie, who will use sophisticated cheat detection software alongside Lichess's built-in system to ensure only genuine players win prizes in our events.

Joining our tournament is simple and straightforward. Here's how you can be part of this exciting event:
1. Join the Fortun£ Friday$ team on Lichess.
2. Fill in the paid entry form on our website. By doing so, you'll provide your Lichess username, which will be added to the list of permitted players for the tournament. For 1-click payment, purchase your entry form here.
3. Navigate to the tournament page on Lichess. Once your username has been added to the list of permitted players, the join button will turn green. Press this button and you will be entered into the tournament.
