A rather peaceful round 5 at the Women’s Candidates category as every match ended up in draw. Is it really a peaceful day or there’s just a missed opportunities? GM’s Kateryna and Anna had their chances to gain a decisive result which could have led to a drastic changes into the standings of Women’s Candidates but they could not get the job done against GM’s Lei and Vaishali, respectively.

Here’s a quick update on the points and standings of Women’s Candidates by the end of Round 5. GM Tan Zhongyi, maintains her lead , solely securing the first spot having a three and a half [3.5] points followed by GM Aleksandra Goryachkina with a three [3] points.
