GM Magnus vs. GM Martínez

On the late round of the game of April 09, 2024, Martínez faced the G.O.A.T Magnus Carlsen himself, leading to a majestic yet full of chaos match. As they play the Modern Sicilian (Martínez playing as White, and Magnus playing as Black), Magnus really had a hard time to strategize and counterattack as José Martínez is quite familiar on this opening. As the game progressed, Magnus missed his opportunity to win the game which resulted to a back-to-back brilliancies of Martinez. By the end of the game, Magnus loses hope and resigned. José Martínez completely outperformed Magnus having a 92.6 accuracy.
