Hi ! I'm Confitureur ! Today, we'll see how to counter a scholar mate by winning tempos and develop your pieces. So, E4, E5, B C4, scholar mate beginning, play knight C6.

He will answer by Queen H5. Play G6 to block the checkmate.

If it plays Queen F3, you can start the tactic : Queen f6. You propos the trade.

It's queen is protected but, if you play low elo, he'll probably move it, maybe in E2... Play knight D4.

Let him play. If it doesn't play Queen D3, play knight takes c2. You win a rook. But, if it doesn't, I have moves for you...

(If it doesn't play Queen D3)

If it does, play B5. If he wanna save it's bishop, he'll play Bishop D5. Now, your opponent is attacking a rook.

(If it does play Queen D3)

Save your rook by playing Rook B8.
