How to counter an Italian game !

In this article, we will see how to counter an Italian game by taking the bishop, you need to sacrifice a knight at the very end. Or if you don't wanna sacrifice it, you can block the bishop.

First, if your opponent plays the Italian Game, it will play E4, respond E5. It will play Bishop C4, now, that changes : play knight f6.

We continue the Italian game, your opponent will play knight f3. Now play D5, you are attacking the bishop and if it takes, take with the knight, it retakes, take with the queen, but I don't think it will do that. You have high chances that your opponent plays bishop b5, so it gives a check.

Protect with c6 ! Your opponent will probably play bishop a3 so you can't move your pawn. Now, play knight takes E4. There's a free pawn, your opponent will surely take it.

Now, play B5 to attack the bishop. If your opponent doesn't want to lose its bishop, it will play bishop B3.

Now, play knight C5 and the bishop is lost.

And we're done ! You took your opponent's bishop or just blocked it you dont want to sacrifice your knight ! And you don't lose any other piece ! Bye,
