Playing every irregular chess opening #1
Hello!
I'm Porcy! (:
WHAT IS AN IRREGULAR OPENING?
In this blog, I'll be doing 8 out of 26 irregular openings (:
JUST A NOTE:
I'm going with Wikipedia's definition of all of the openings. Yes, for one or two of the openings transpose into something else, I sadly don't care 😁
Wikipedia:
so keep that in mind while viewing (:
I also wont be talking too much about the openings themselves.
1. a4, Ware Opening
According to Wikipedia, the ware opening is defined by the move "1. a4"
It was named after Preston Ware (:
Here's my game with the Ware opening (:
The game was pretty good and short (:
I played well, and my opponent simply didnt :0
1. a3, Anderssen.
Defined by 1. a3 and named after Adolf Anderssen (:
Before I show my game, I wanna show a game by Adolf Anderssen with the opening (:
Interesting game right?
Now look at mine (:
Normal opening lol.
I feel like I played well, and my opponent blundered.
1. b4, Polish
Polish (:
Defined by 1. b4, not really named after anyone...
My game:
My opponent didnt play well, and I did 🔥
1. c3, Saragossa.
1. Na3, Sodium Attack.
It's called the sodium attack because "Na"3 (:
(Na is the symbol of the element sodium)
Pretty good game (:
My opponent sacrificed the Knight for NO reason tho...
1. h4, Kadas.
Defined by 1. h4, named after Gabor Kadas (:
Here is my game:
Nothing weird here...
For these next two games, I played vs TB @astrotheoretical_physics
Astroooo what is simple harmonic motion pls tell meeeeee~!
1. e3, Van't Kruijs
Defined by 1. e3, named after Marteen Van't Kruijs
My game with it:
This opening is not bad, it just makes white play black.
1. d3, Mieses.
Defined by 1. d3, named after Jacques Mieses.
My game with it:
Hehe (:
Pretty normal opening, I just didn’t play properly.
CONCLUSION:
Some of these openings are better than what people say lol.
A lot of the openings easily transpose into other openings, which are more common.
