ST:TOS - favorite episodes

I just love the original Star Trek series. It's incredible how entertaining those episodes are, even after 20+ years of first watching them. The show did seem to run out of steam a bit in the third season, but still "The Specter of the Gun" remains one of my favorites. The Enterprise finds itself in Melkotian space, and the crew find themselves transported to a wild west town, essentially recreating the gunfight at the OK Corral. 

Another favorite of mine is "Space Seed." USS 'Botany Bay' is discovered in space by the Enterprise, with genetically "superior" humans on board. One of them is Khan...

Also, "The Return of the Archons" is memorable, especially for its beginning. Sulu beams back to the Enterprise, going nuts and yelling "you are not of the body!." A landing party investigates and finds a robot-like society that goes berserk during "the Red Hour." I loved the concept of a machine-controlled society. And the strange music and tension during the first encounter with the people on the planet sent shivers down my spine.
