Sicilian Defense, Smith-Morra Gambit Accepted

I just played a game against what Google tells me is called the Smith-Morra Gambit. I can't find a whole lot of information about it and I wish I had had a more involved game. As it was, I don't feel like I really got a chance to see what this openning is capable of because White lost his Queen on turn 6.
This was a bit like the Chekhover Variation with bringing out the Queen, except that White would have gone 2.Nf3 first.
Information on these openings seems hard to find. I'd like to learn more about it because from what little I've found, it seems to have a good reputation against the Sicilian Defense.
If anyone has any inforation, resources, experiences or insights into these openings, please let me know! Thank you!
