Principles of the middlegame.

Attacking:

1. Have at least 3 pieces in the attack. 

2. Exchange off defenders.

3. Don't Trade Queens!!

Defending:

1. Trade Queens (at least try).

2. Keep all your defenders on the board!

3. Don't try to weaken your king in a losing position!

Both(attacking and defending):

1. Maneuver
