Surprise your opponents in Rossolimo Sicilian with 3...Qc7, a new sneaky idea which aims to bind and outplay White as early as from the opening!

In the following exemplary game the four black musketeers outplayed White, who was left with no counter-play at all.

Many thanks to deltakiss for sharing. Interactive board at the end of the post.  More about the 3...Qc7 Rossolimo Sicilian here.

1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 Qc7

It looks like Black is willing to take back on c6 with his queen but actually it's the e5-square he is interested in.

4.O-O a6 5.Bxc6 dxc6 6.Nc3 e5!

And there it is! A firm grip on the dark squares already.

7.d3 Bd6

Strengthens the grip furthermore! In a few moves White won't be able to execute his typical f2-f4 thrust.  Notice that Black did n't play 7...Bg4 offering to White one more chance to play the typical prophylactic 8.h3, because he is planning to use that h3-pawn as a hook for his attack with ...g7-g5-g4.

8.h3 h6 9.Nh2 g5

Everything according to the plan.

10.Be3 a5

The fourth musketeer reaches the fifth rank! This was a necessary prophylaxis against the b2-b4 cxb4 Na4 idea by White.

11.a4 Be6 12.b3 Ne7 13.Ng4 O-O-O

The four musketeers have completely outplayed White who is left with no play at all.

14.Bd2 Ng6 15.Ne2

15...b6

15...h5 16.Ne3 g4 would had posed more problems to White -1.3

16.Ng3 Nf4 17.Ne3

17...Rdg8?!

17...h5 18.Ngf5 Qd7 19.Bc3 f6 20.Kh2 Bc7 and Black is ready for the ...Qh7 move. -1.4

18.Nef5 h5 19.Bxf4?

A strange decision given the fact that the black rook is opposing the white king.

19...exf4

19...gxf4 20.Nxd6+ Qxd6 21.Nf5 Bxf5 22.exf5 Qd5 -2.6 was playable too.

20.Nxh5

20...Bxf5

20...Be5 was stronger. -2.7

21.exf5 Be5 22.Qg4?

Perhaps White felt desperate at this point. 22.Rb1 f6 -1.5 was better.

22...Bxa1 23.Rxa1

23...Qe5

The rest is simple.

24.Rd1 f6 25.Kf1 Qc3 26.Qf3 Kb7 27.Re1 Re8 28.Re6 Rxe6 29.fxe6 Qxc2 30.Nxf6 Qb1+ 31.Ke2 Qb2+ 32.Ke1 Qxf6  0-1
