Chess Openings - The Deadly Trap in the Petrov Defense!

The Petrov Defense (also called the Russian Game) is a solid opening that starts with 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nf6. It focuses on safe development and subtle counterattacks, making it hard for White to gain an early advantage.

But even in this “safe” setup, one careless move can lead to a deadly trap. White must develop carefully, control the center, and be alert to hidden tactical moves like the one I will present below:

In the above situation, white has opened check to capture black's queen. Usually white will have a pretty high chance of winning when using this trap.
