Laundry Mat Games #1
Hello everyone,
Nothing good will ever come from a major appliance breaking in your home. Well except that I get to play more chess while I wait for my clothes to dry. This week is no different. I hope you enjoy.
I was recently on a big blitz binge. I am slowly getting away from that and getting back into some slower time controls. Below I highlight two 15|10 games I played while I waited. I lost one and won the other.
I really enjoy playing the Sicilian. I also enjoy playing against it. While the Alapin variation is not my favorite, I know it is something I should take a look at. Bxe7 really had me worried. I was able to weather the storm and come out with the checkmate. It also helps when your opponent blunders to give you the edge you need.
I like playing the Ruy Lopez as well. I got to play against an interesting line and opening that I had not seen before. I will have to take a look at this a little deeper when I get the chance. Until next time.
