What is Castling? Castling was introduced in the 1884 Brooklyn chess chronicle. He first called it the " Thorton Castling Trap". It was introduced to reduce the vulnerability of the King within the games you can only use Castling when your King and rook have not moved. this is what is should look like:

Then you move your King two spaces to the right, allowing castle:

It is a very simple concept for very simple people.
