Fastest Checkmates
Hi, if you are willing to make a fast win, here are some fast checkmates!
Making a fast checkmate can also lead to unlocking an achievement! "Quick Knockout". There are many types of fast checkmates.
Scholar's Mate.
1. (If you are white) Move your pawn to e3, make sure your opponent doesn't move their knight to f6 or the fast checkmate can be a failure. Move your queen to f3, if your opponent moves their knight to h6, make sure to move your pawn to d3 or d4 so you can use the bishop to kill the knight. Do also make sure your opponent doesn't move their pawn to e6, because that can be also fail the fast checkmate. Next, move your queen to f3, after that, move your bishop to c4 to finish set up the final fast checkmate move. If your opponent doesn't move a piece to stop the checkmate, move xf7# to checkmate the king and make a nice win! Also, you can use your queen or your bishop.
Also, to unlock "Quick Knockout", you can ONLY unlock this if you checkmated your opponent less than 10 moves.
(If you are black) Move your pawn to e4, the moves are kind of similar to like you're playing as white, but the moves are kind of different if you are black. Make sure your opponent doesn't move their knight to f3 or move their pawn to e3, or the Scholar's Mate will be ruined. Next, move your queen to d6, or you can move your bishop first to c5. If your opponent moves their knight to h3, make sure to move your pawn to d5 or d6 so you can use your bishop to eat the knight. Next, if you moved the bishop or the queen first. Move your bishop to c5 if you moved your queen to f6 first or move your queen to f6 if you moved your bishop to c5 first. If your opponent doesn't make a move to stop the checkmate, move xf2#. The "#" means you checkmated the king. If did doesn't pop up with the "#" The game is still not over.
Fool's Mate.
1. (If you are white) Move your pawn to e3 or e4, make sure your opponent moves their pawn to g5 or f6. After that, move anything like g3 or c4, those are just examples. If your opponent moves g5 or f6, make sure they move g5 if they move f6 first, or make sure your opponent moves their pawn to f6 if they first move their pawn to g5. After that, move your queen to h5 to checkmate your opponent's king.
The "Fool's Mate" is one of the fastest checkmates because this only works with 2 moves! Meanwhile, the "Scholar's Mate" only works with 3 moves.
3. (If you are black) Move your pawn to e6 or e5 after your opponent moves f3 or g4., make sure your opponent moves their pawn to f3 nor g4 as well. Move any piece like f6 or g6, those are just examples for moves. Next, make sure your opponent moves their pawn to f3 if they moved their pawn to g4 first, or make sure they move their pawn to g4 if they move their pawn to f3 first.
Also, moving f3 makes the "Barnes Opening.", meanwhile, moving f3 leads to making the "Grob Opening", which you can unlock a book achievement! This kind of checkmate can be useful for unlocking the Grob Opening.
Bird Opening (Fool's Mate Pattern)
1. (If you are black) First, make sure your opponent moves their pawn to f4, next move your pawn to e5. E5 would probably be much better than e6 because it can trick the opponent into eating the pawn. If that works, checkmate the king by moving your queen to h4, your opponent will need to move their pawn to g3 to block your checkmate. Next, move your bishop to e7 and let your queen to get eaten by the blocking pawn. After that, use your bishop to eat the pawn to make a Bird's opening checkmate. Well done! No one likes their queen to be eaten, if you don't believe me how this fast checkmate works, here's this link. Bird's Opening - Chess Openings - Chess.com . Make sure to click the blue words so you can see how it works.
2. (If you are white) First, move your pawn to e4, make sure your opponent moves their pawn to f5. It's better to not eat the f5 pawn. Make sure your opponent eats your pawn so you can make checkmate by moving your queen to h5! Your opponent will need to move their pawn to g6 to block your checkmate. Do not move away your queen to a safer square, instead, move your bishop to f2. Make sure your opponent eats your queen using their blocking pawn to luckily checkmate black's king.
