Denker: Round 4
Okay, everyone, sorry this is a bit late, but I was at the venue all day today, and so I could not post my game.
So. The quick answer to the elephant in the room is that I lost to New Hampshire, a 2082.
However, this may be one of the very best games I've ever played. Essentially, I did very well out of the opening (despite thinking for mammoth amounts of time), and I conjured up a good attack. However, (Yes, that wonderful, terrible word that gracefully haunts the chess-player's life) I was low on time and could not find the way to finish my attack.
So my attack spit, sputtered, and died. A draw then became my goal, so I offered one. He declined. "Bleh... he still thinks he might win," I thought. I played on. So did he. And eventually, he found the win. (But, hey, I still got to promote to a Queen — that's fun, right?
)
If you're still alive by the time you finished reading all that, here is the game, in all it's...
