Denker: Round 5

Here I am with round 5. Once more, the short story is that I lost to Abhinav Suresh, of Nebraska, a 1962.

I just didn't know the opening as well as I needed to have. I had an okay position, but I thought it was worse; I then acted on that evaluation, and then my position became truly worse!

Here is the game:

The world would like to know why I played Nb8. Reason: I falsely concluded that I should retreat and place it on c6. After Nb8, my position was the definition of 'bad.'

However, as often as I lose, you'll hear me say that I'm not quitting. Abhinav and I went over the game afterward; he was a really nice guy. I have a picture of us that I can put up tomorrow, maybe.

Anyway, good night, everyone! Tomorrow the future meets the present.
