One of the greatest comedians of all time, here are a few of his contributions to chess humour;

1. The Question

"Can you buy an entire chess set at a pawn shop?" .............. (often attributed to Carlin , no idea when or where first asked.....)

2. The Cheer

George introduces his famous cheer ........ " you can use this for any sport, intramural lacrosse, mud surfing, cross-country bowling, full contact chess , ... (George Carlin: Carlin On Campus, HBO Special 1984)

3. The Bishop

George plays the part of the bishop, Cardinal Ignatius Glick in the 1999 movie "Dogma"  ....... (sorry wrong kind of bishop, nothing really about chess, just funny .......)
