As a big fan of Steve Martin from King Tut to guest spots on SNL , Cruel Shoes to Shop Girl, The Jerk  to Cheaper by the Dozen (2) ..... I was hoping to provide a long list of his contributions to chess humour.

Well ......Excuuuuuuuuuuuuse meeeeee!

I could only find these two pieces;

1. Computer Chess:

"Playing computer chess with myself, but finding it hard to climb on desk, straddle monitor and look down."

(Tweet from Aug.13, 2011)

2. 1990 World Chess Championship

While attending the opening Kasparov - Karpov match at the Hudson theatre in New York (with "My Blue Heaven" co-star Rick Moranis), Steve told reporters that he came for the excitement and "to see the fights in the audience". (Oct 8, 1990)

(the game, a King's Indian Defense: Saemisch Variation, Byrne Defense ... was a draw after 30 moves)

gotta go .....the new phone book is here!

Best Fishes,

Dave
