Mitrofanov's deviation [ Puzzle ]
This problem was composed by Leopold Mitrofanov in 1967 and won several awards, but, if I'm not mistaken in 1969, they found an amazing defense that allowed Black to draw. Later they ended up creating a corrected version of the original problem, which little or nothing affected the brilliance of the deviation idea. Black has three small pieces and a pawn almost crowning. On the other hand, White also has a very advanced pawn and is counting on the fact that he can trap Black's king in the 8th line.
Note that 10. ... Bxb6+ does not save because 11. Rxb6 leads to mate on the next move.
