A trap against a Fried Liver type attack but it doesn't work!

Not exactly the Fried Liver but it does involve the knight and bishop, and the queen comes in to add to the attack.  I had a resource however, that changed the entire game and made it in my favor; however, had he of taken with his knight instead of his bishop at the crucial moment, he would have won the game.

He could have won had he of just taken with the Knight.  I will now be on the look out for tactics where my opponent tries to trade off my defending knight in these types of openings.  Something like  this actually happened to me before, where I developed my knight to d2 instead of c3...
