Bobby Fischer is known for being the youngest chess grandmaster in history, now let us explore his past.

Bobby Fischer who's birth name is Robert James Fischer was born March 9 1943 in Chicago Illinois, USA and Died January 17 2008 in Reykjavik, Iceland being only 64 years of age when he unfortunately pasted away due to renal failure.

Ok now let's talk about the cooler things. He attracted international attention in 1956 with a stunning victory over Donald Byrne at a tournament in NYC (New York City).  In what was named the “Game of the Century,” Fischer sacrificed his queen on the 17th move to Byrne to set up a devastating counterattack that led to checkmate (which is pretty cool). At age 16 he dropped out of high school to devote himself fully to the game. In 1958 he won the first of 8 American Championships. In 1970 and 1971 he won 20 consecutive matches before losing once and drawing the game 3 times against Tigran Petrosyan another grandmaster.

In the end Bobby Fischer was truly and amazing chess player.
