The Englund Gambit Trap?!
The Englund Gambit starts with White playing d4 ,then Black sacrifises the pawn playing e5. Now There is 3 options for White: dxe5,Nf3,d5. If dxe5 Then the Englund Gambit starts,if Nf3 or d5 The Englund Gambit Will be declined. Now the trap starts when White plays dxe5. Black will simply play Bc5 weakening the f-pawn. White can develop their Kings Knight going to Nf3. Black will play d6 trying to get for White to take the pawn on d6. Now White can take the pawn by doing exd6. Now there is a SACRIFISE Ne7!! If White takes the knight by doing dxe7. We will sacrifise our Bishop by doing Bxf2+!! The White King is forced to take the Bishop, and then we simply do Qxd1 and hopefully you win your Englund Gambit Match. However there is a way for White to block the Englund Gambit. Lets go back to d6 Now white does not have to take they can play e3 blocking the Bishop from taking the f-pawn and now White has a pawn more than Black, if Black takes the pawn with the d-pawn you can simply take the Queen on D8 by doing Qxd8+ And Black will lose his castling rights and is forced to take the Queen. Now you can get your pawn back by doing Nxe5.
