As a "Chess-Player", one of my favorite forms of playing "Chess" is practicing online. I think that probably this is a topic that people want to clear out...... Which is the reason why I'm talking about it. In this "Blog", you will discover tons of information to decide whether or not, play "Chess.com" or "Lichess".

"Chess.com" was born in 2005. Created by two college boys named "Erik Allebest" and "Jay Severson". Today, "Chess.com" has over 150 million members!!!.... Amazing, no?!

This was the first site I start to play "Online-Chess". And it has really helped my "Chess-Skills".

"Chess.com" is a site that family, friends, and everyone can play!!!

Although "Chess.com" is trustful, sometimes it can be very annoying to play it. And it's even more annoying when someone is playing against a "Cheater" who doesn't know where belongs. By example, cheating in chess is a serious issue, especially in the online world. Although I can't provide specific details about a particular year, I can tell you that "Chess.com" has invested a lot of resources in cheater detection systems. Its goal is to ensure a safe and fair experience for players. They have improved their systems to the point were playing chess online is as safe as facing someone in person. In addition, they close more than 500 accounts daily due to cheating. So, although I don't have an exact date, "Chess.com's" commitment to fair play is constant. And trust me, I've seen lots of "Cheaters" getting banned in "Chess.com".

Oh my God!!!! Here it goes..... "Lichess"...... "Lichess" is a free and "open-source" internet chess server run by a non-profit organization. Users can play online chess anonymously and optionally register an account to play rated games. Founded in 2010 by French programmer "Thibault Duplessis", "Lichess" has the second most traffic for chess websites after "Chess.com".

In this site, I had the first online chess tournament!!!!...... Pretty amazing for a "Chess.com" lover, right?!

After all, "Lichess" isn't that "bad".... (It depends on your opinion)

But, "Lichess" has many problems without a solution. Meaning that this can cause many controversies to the "Lichess" community. In my opinion, "Lichess" isn't the safest "Chess-Site" to play, although it's got his good and bad stuff.

Examples I can talk about "Lichess", bad things are "Cheating", and "Verbal-Threats".

And this a pretty big deal..... Because I've received more than four "Verbal-Threats" at "Lichess".

In conclusion, I hope that future generations get to fix these kinds of problems in all types of "Chess-Communities". And remember, nothing is possible without hope....
