Hello people! I haven't been making blogs for quite a long time, so hope you enjoy this one.

So I made some custom positions, and I would be delighted to share it with you.

{Notes: I have tried to make these custom positions close as possible to 0.0 on the evaluation bar (equal advantages/chances). If there is a slight difference from 0.0 please bear with it. For the puzzles, only 3 moves are required, because these custom positions are for you to try out. Have fun! thumbup}

1. Blocked Knights vs Starfighter

Quite a tricky position, where both White Knights are blocked in. The Black horde of pawns ('Starfighters') could be dangerous too! Act fast and save White. Hint: Try to free the Knights and use your advanced a6 and h6 pawns to restrict the Bishops!

2. Breakthrough

A V-shaped formation of pawns face a line of 7 pawns+ King. Can you think of a timely pawn breakthrough and try to win the game? Hint: Don't rush! Use your king too.

3. Cages

The Bishops and Rooks are trapped within a cage of immobile pawns! Use your knight to free them before your opponent does. It's very hard! Hint: Don't trade Knights!

4. Board flip

The most confusing one, I should say. No knights, three bishops for each side, what the heck!? And why am I using Black when White moves first? Did I flip the board? Nope, your eyes are tricking you. Hint: Don't hurry to promote to a queen!

5. Opposite coloured bishops

Opposite coloured bishops tend to lead to a draw in the endgame. This position is definitely drawn so don't bother trying it out unless you have this mnay bishops in your chess set at home. Hint: Don't play this!

6. Barricade

When pawns clash...think about how you can get rid of these excessive little ones. Hint: If you're attempting the puzzle, have a nice long think about which pawns you should take first!

7. Fort Indestructible

I've heard of doubled pawns, even tripled pawns, but this sextupled pawn fortress has gone too far. Time to crack it open! Hint: Promote first. 

8. Magnets

Symmetric yet displeasing, this position requires a lot of manoeuvring amd pawn breaks to make progress. Can you break the magnetic field? Hint: Don't take the pawns in the centre, they can cause trouble!

9. Black Hole
