MATERIAL DOESN'T ALWAYS MATTER
yes as the title says "material doesn't always matter"
you might have experienced
sacrifices
brilliants
or even
blunders
but when you learn a new opening ,tactics, strategies, endgames ,etc.
You have to understand why they move that piece?🤔
You can't just be like ok they moved that piece ,ok let's write it down in a book
wrong that not what your supposed to do you have to understand the move .
Like what if you go for a tournament you play what you studied ,BUT what if they play something else? what are you going to do they did not play the line that you studied!!
That's why you have to understand the move properly so that if they play something else you can play the correct move and win the game!!!
And if you sacrifice a piece, cool right? but wat if it was not the correct position!!
you learn an opening that has sacrifices but you don't know why they played it😲
So when you play a real game and your like ,OH I can sacrifice my piece here ,
but what if that was not the correct position your brilliant move turns into a blunder😯
And even if you have less material the position is what matters.
Lets say that your black and your threatening mate in one but you opponent has more points than you! The mate cannot be stopped ,but your opponent has more points than you
who's winning your or your opponent? your winning!!!!!!!!
So now you now that material doesn't always matter👍
So the next time your going to resign a game analyse the board first.
Then if your losing resign or keep playing till the game ends.
I hope this helped🙂
