Great Chess Books--1900-1934
As we say, chess players live by chess books!
Chess literature is plentiful and deep and wide...! We are all beneficiaries of the wisdom of writers who want to convey their insights about chess. We gravitate toward our favorite dimensions of chess--game collections, biographies, strategy and tactics, opening or endgame studies, tournament books--the topics are extensive; as are the interests of chess players.
The period of 1900-1934 was rich when it comes to chess literature. 'Classics' emerged. Some of the game's greatest figures contributed their insights through their writings.
This Crossword helps us remember these books and their authors. Some of these titles may be in your chess library--well-worn from much use!
I hope you enjoy remembering the literature and authors who have been significant in the history of the game; and remain so for us, today...
