Montreal 1979

This 'star-studded' tournament generated much excitement--and some interesting games!

The event featured ten of the very strongest Grandmasters at the time, including the World Champion. The ELO ratings led this to be a Category XV event--one of the strongest tournaments to have been held at this time.

Reports are that over 400 people regularly attended the events.
