124th US Open Championship Part 1

I played in the 124th US Open Championship and surprisingly I played quite well for once. So round 1 I obviously thought I’d lose because I’m a 1298 getting paired against a 1900, but he was floored, so I felt a bit better. 

In round 2, I get paired against another 1900, but only he isn’t floored. YAYYYY! But to my surprise, I held pretty well against him, that is, until we got to the endgame, and that’s when I blew it because my endgame skills suck.

In round 3, I was kind of scared because I was paired against 1727, a little kid. You know these little kids are scary, especially when they have a higher rating like that. This game resulted in a draw.

This round wasn’t so hot. I got paired against a 1631, and I didn’t play very well. But it happened, and I made up for it in the last two rounds of the tournament. I feel like I missed something around move 20. Please let me know if I did.

In round 5, I finally got paired against someone around my rating. I played a 1482, but I was getting crushed. I got lucky because he made a blunder. I felt bad for him because his face had the look of disappointment:/

I guess in this tournament I just got lucky with the opponents I got I will do part 2 tomorrow and we get to see how good I played
