Endgame Mastery Pt.01 - Learn to Grind

Hello everyone! Hope you all are safe! Welcome to my new series, the Endgame Mastery.

So today we are going to look at minor pieces endgames. What happens when a bishop vs knight endgame occurs but with the bishop side having a pawn less ( no passers) .

For this we will make sure all pieces are the 8th rank and all pawns are on the 7 th rank.

Now let's look at the same endgame except that the minor pieces are switched

So these positions which we saw are just draws even with the extra pawn. So now let's look at a puzzle based on this

Same thing applies for bishop vs bishop, knights vs knights as long as it is not a passed pawn. If it is then the side with the extra pawn is winning.
