Ever wondered what you ChessIQ is?
Well here is a possible solution.

1- What is IQ?
The math behind it follows the added picture of a distribution of a population into segments. According to your results you get a ranking in the tested population and fall into some category.

2- What is ChessIQ?
Here i translate the ranking philosophy to your national chess ranking.
Your federation has a list of members with an official rating.
This list can then be sorted by rating.

The total number of members gives the population.
This number can then be divided into similar segments as the picture of the IQ scores.

The numbers in HOLLAND are:
Chess POPULATION= 25823 members with a published rating.

So now we can make 2 tables: A- according to RANKING, B-according to RATING.

A- according to RANKING:

0,1% = position 25 (and up) = ChessIQ 145+
2%= position 516 (and up) = ChessIQ 130+
14%= position 4131 (and up) = ChessIQ 115+
34%= position 12911 (and up) = ChessIQ 100+
34%= position 21691 (and up) = ChessIQ 85+
14%= position 25306 (and up) = ChessIQ 70+
2%= position 25797(and up) = ChessIQ 55+

B-according to RATING:
(This is possible because each rating belonging to the positions calculated above is known.)

rating (=national OTB)
2511 (and up) = ChessIQ 145+
2183 (and up) = ChessIQ 130+
1847 (and up) = ChessIQ 115+
1563 (and up) = ChessIQ 100+
1278 (and up) = ChessIQ 85+
830 (and up) = ChessIQ 70+
254 (and up) = ChessIQ 55+

You can make your own version for your country.
