Here I cover 2 Nc3 without a quick Nf3. I see the King's Gambit with 3 f4 fairly often. I think it is best for Black to transpose to the Fischer Defense with 3..exf4!. Google can take you to a copy of Fischer's Refutation of the King's Gambit article. His analysis is convincing! Plus, I am a Fischer fan.

If White plays slowly, like with 3 d3, then I think Black can boldly lurch with 3..f5. BTW, if White plays 4 f4 there, then play transposes to the Wahls variation of the King's Gambit. An extra fun line for Black.
