The Weekly Jesus.

John 8:34-35 "Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever."  We sin everyday, we know that but when we choose to disobey God or our parents who know best for us (Note: Some parents don't, but most do.), then we are putting ourselves in a cage called sin. We may think that God and/or our parents are stiff sometimes (Note: Again some parents aren't.) or all the time and are restricting you from being you, but sin's not us. We're sinful but sin does not define who we truly are. When we are ourselves is when God helps out of the cage called sin which is part of us but not us. And we continually put ourselves inside of that cage unintentionally and intentionally. Which actually makes us act less than who we are, temples of worship, individually made special not like 1 other person. God is a diverse God who's made the world so colorful and unique, so instead of putting ourselves in a cage, let's let God set us free to tranform us into  our true selves. Unique.
