The Weekly Jesus.

Hosea  13:2-3 "Now they sin more and more; they make idols for themselves from their silver, cleverly fashioned images, all of them the work of craftsmen. all of these people, "They offer human sacrifice and kiss the calf-idols." Therefore they will be like the morning mist, like the early dew that disappears, like chaff swirling from a threshing floor, like smoke escaping through a window." Today, we have all of this technology, games, etc., We think we know everything how the world was made etc., etc. Kids are taught at an early age that you can do anything if they believe in themselves or put their minds to it. We have made pop culture and peer pressure modern day idols which say to do things God does not approve of and wants to help us with. Almost everything that this culture believes is wrong. We give into these lifeless, lying idols everyday. And it effects everyone, me, you, your neighbors. You name it.  God's people had come to a point almost exactly like this. God's people had come to the promised land and had settled there and were becoming attached to power and luxury, worshiping lifeless idols. God was telling his people through many prophets to turn back to him before it was to late. And in the book Hosea of The Bible, God is telling his people to praise him only, not half praising God, half praising some idol. We're doing the same thing with pop culture and peer pressure. And we need to praise God only, stop following the idols in our lives, and listen to Him before it's too late. God's calling out to you, will you answer him with a thank you letter praising him or a blank postcard?
