Back rank weakness
If you are losing in material, but your opponent has back rank weakness then there are chances of winning the game. See in the following position:
Here white was losing by a bishop, but black blundered by taking the queen. Even though black didn't take the queen, the game could've ended up as a draw. (NEVER RESIGN)
