Origin Story:
Victor Von Doom was born in the fictional country of Latveria, a small Eastern European nation. His mother was a witch who died protecting him, and his father was a doctor who died trying to save his mother. Driven by genius and tragedy, Victor became a brilliant scientist and sorcerer.

He attended college in the U.S., where he met Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic). Doom’s pride and arrogance led to a disastrous experiment — trying to replicate a cosmic accident — which scarred his face horribly. Refusing to show his disfigurement, he forged his iconic metal mask and armor, becoming Doctor Doom.
