Alien Gambit

Today I am going to show you how to use the Alien Gambit. The trap works with one of the most common defenses as black, the Caro-Cann defence, which goes, e4, c6, d4, d5, Nd2, Dxe4, Nxd4, Nf6. Now we deploy the Alien Gambit 👽 by playing Ng5, hitting the pawn on f7. The most common move here is to play h6 kicking the knight out with their pawn, but now we play Nxf7?! Yes this may seem like a blunder but after the king takes on f7 the king is wide open, giving us more time to prepare the attack. Here we can just develop our knight to f3. One of the most common moves is to move their bishop to g4 because they think they are pinning our knight but we can play Ne5 forking the king and the bishop, so after the king moves, we can just take the bishop on g4. This is a huge W for us because we are up a pawn and we ruined Black's king side so our light bishop will torture the black king to death. Here is a diagram.

This is part one of this blog. Be sure to come in for the second part coming soon!
