Surprising Realization as a Consequence of My Third Meditation
For information about my experiment, please refer to my first post.
An interesting realization I had after doing my meditation was that my duration is not improving but my regeneration is. I was able to meditate at a high level of focus for 8 minutes. After 5 seconds I was able to meditate again (at the same level of focus) for another 8 minutes. After another 5 seconds I was able to meditate (at the same level of focus) for 2 minutes. My individual meditation duration has gone down slightly (from 10 minutes to 8 minutes) (probably random fluctuation) but my total session duration has gone from 10 minutes to 18 minutes. After the first session I needed a couple hours to partially regenerate my focus ability. After the second session I needed 20 minutes to partially regenerate my focus ability. After the third session I only needed 5 seconds to mostly regenerate my focus ability.
I unfortunately do not have any results in regard to playing ability. The cold I had last weekend had a resurgence and as a result I was incapacitated for most of the week. In addition, chess club attendance this time was very sparse (likely people enjoying the nice weather). As a consequence, I was unable to play anyone very strong. While I won every game, I can't use that information for my experiment. Hopefully, I will have better luck next week.
