Hey Guys sorry its been so long since my last post.

I have just been so busy working and playing chess over the summer it was tough to find time to do blog posts. Anyhow, even though I have not been posting that much I played a lot of chess over the summer and I improved my game. My USCF rating got up to 1901 and I had the chance to play a lot of strong competition at the Marshall Chess Club. Some highlights were beating a master, beating a 2100, and drawing against a few 2100s.

I played in the Oregon Open this past weekend in the open section and had a pretty amazing tournament scoring 4/6. I am particularly proud of my play in these games although I still made too many mistakes. Of course luck was involved in my result, but hey. Im not complaining. I ended up sharing first place for the U200 winning $227!

Here are the games.

My new rating is 1958!!!

Until next time,
