Knights vs. Bishops

Which is better.... Knights or Bishops? It depends on what stage of the game you are in. Knights are generally better in the middle game, becaase of their ability to fork easily. Bishops are generally better than knights in the endgame where their ability to cover a long diagonal and stop pawns from promoting is better than a knight, where it would have to hop a long ways.
